Local shops (co-op within 5 minutes walking distance) and other amenities such as a park, hospital and shops are within a short walking distance, along with excellent public transport links to Blackheath Village, Lewisham and New Cross, Eltham, Woolwich and the newly opened DLR link and North Greenwich where the Jubilee Tube line stops and the Dome is situated with many restaurants, bars, music gigs and cinemas on offer.
Olympic events are scheduled to be held at the Royal Barracks (about 20 minutes walk away), Greenwich Park (10 mins away by car) and the millenium dome (15 minutes away by car). Also events being held at Excel, and in East London at the Olympic Zone are easily accessible by using the Docklands Light Railway link from Woolwich, or the Jubilee Line from the Millenium Dome.
There are main line trains into London every 30 minutes during the day from Blackheath, or tubes every few minutes from either the DLR station or the millenium dome.
