the area: Walthamstow is a diverse area with a high street full of great places to eat, from fish and chips to Indian to West Indian and more; the high St is a 15-min walk from the flat. Also a 15-min walk is Walthamstow village, which has some great British pubs and more restaurants. The William Morris gallery is also nearby, as is the River Lea for rowing or cyling. Also easily accessible are some great areas of London such as Islington and Dalston. Further afield but still easily accesible are Epping Forest and the Essex countryside and coast.
